Isabella Leong

Stylish, sexy, and elegant Isabella Leong, Hong Kong singer, actress, and model. One of the stars of the recent movie “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”.

From Wikipedia:

Isabella Leong (traditional Chinese: 梁洛施; pinyin: Liáng Luò Shī; Portuguese: Luisa Isabella Nolasco da Silva) is a Hong Kong-based singer, actress, and model. She is considered a symbol of a new generation of actresses in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry. She speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Leong was born in Hong Kong on June 23, 1988. Her Portuguese father died when Leong was a few months old and she moved with her Chinese-English mother to Macau. They remained in Macau until Isabella was 15 years old.

To help her mother support the family, Leong joined the Emperor Entertainment Group at 12 years old and began to work as a teenage model. She later turned to singing and released her debut album, Isabella, at 16 years of age. Isabella did not achieve the success hoped for and Leong turned to acting instead.

In 2004, Leong appeared as a guest star in the TV series Sunshine Heartbeat. In 2005, she made her film debut in The Eye 10 and also appeared in Bug Me Not, for which she was nominated as Best New Performer in the Hong Kong Film Awards.

In 2006 Leong won the leading role in the highly successful Isabella. The film allowed her to win a number of award nominations — Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the Fantasporto and the Hong Kong Film Awards, and an award at Golden Bauhinia Awards for Best New Performer. The film also won the Silver Berlin award at the Berlin Film Festival for Best Film Music. Best of all, the film led to an increased level of public recognition and admiration, especially from the Chinese community.

At the Hong Kong Film Awards 2007, Leong received two nominations: one for Isabella, and one for Diary - Best Supporting Actress; these nominations further increased her growing popularity. In 2007 Leong co-starred in the arthouse and lesbian-related film Spider Lilies alongside Taiwanese pop singer and actress Rainie Yang. Spider Lilies was shown at the Berlin Film Festival and won the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film.

In an attempt to follow in the successful footsteps of fellow Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, Leong went to Hollywood and landed a supporting role in the film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor which was released on August 1, 2008.

Rainie Yang

Rainie Yang, super cute Taiwanese popstar.

From Wikipedia:

Rainie Yang (traditional Chinese: 楊丞琳; simplified Chinese: 杨丞琳; pinyin: Yáng Chénglín; born June 4, 1984 age 24) is a popular Taiwanese singer, actress, and talk show host.

Yang began her career as a member of the all-girl singing group 4 in Love, where she was given the stage name of Rainie. The group’s popularity in the music industry was mediocre and they achieved limited success. After the group disbanded, Yang continued to pursue a career in the entertainment industry as a TV host, hosting shows such as the “Guess Guess Guess” variety show. After playing supporting roles in several dramas (including the mega hit Meteor Garden), she landed the lead role (as Qi Yue) in the CTV drama Devil Beside You opposite Mike He. Devil Beside You proved to be very popular, allowing Rainie’s career to take off. The same year, she released her debut album, My Intuition, featuring her hit songs “Ai Mei” and “Li Xiang Qing Ren”, which were both from Devil Beside You. My Intuition made Chinese entertainment history as the only debut album to reach platinum status, selling 1.5 million copies in South-East Asia.

In 2006, she released her follow-up album, Meeting Love, which also sold very well. On September 7, 2007, she released My Other Self (otherwise known as Anywhere Door). It features “Que Yang” and “Wan Mei Bi Li,” which also stars her Devil Beside You co-stars Mike He and Kingone Wang. Hoping to portray herself as a “serious” actress, Yang co-starred in the arthouse and lesbian-related film Spider Lilies alongside Isabella Leong. However, after co-starring in Spider Lilies, Yang returned to her previous cute image by becoming the lead actress in the drama Why Why Love.

On January 8, 2007, Yang recorded her last “Guess Guess Guess” show due to her busy schedule and focus on her music career. She is also set to star in the pilot of a romantic-comedy tentatively titled as Fresh Tomato for Sauce alongside Cyndi Wang, Elva Hsiao and Roy Chai.

On April 23, 2008, while filming the idol drama The Bad Campus Belle in Sanchih, Yang fell heavily from the stairs, and was sent to Mackay Memorial Hospital. The stairs were located between the third floor, where the dressing room was located, and the first floor, where the film set was located. The crew originally thought the falling object was a light frame, but upon hearing a groan, they realized it was her. After an X-ray examination, doctors diagnosed Yang’s injury as a spinal contusion. After leaving the hospital, producer Angie Chai took Yang to a Chinese massage therapist.

Jolin Tsai

Also known as Jolin Choi or by her Chinese names (蔡依林, Cai Yīlin) is a Taiwanese pop singer who is also extremely popular in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Malaysia, and Singapore.

She seems to have had plastic surgery at one point because her earlier photos and recent photos almost look like 2 different people (her body also seems to have grown in ways that usually require medical assistance :P).

Grace Park

Born in Los Angeles, California, Park and her family moved to Canada when she was 22 months old. She is of Korean descent. She is best known for her role as Sharon Valerii in the new Battlestar Galactica series but has also been in Romeo Must Die and Stargate SG-1.

Some of the images are a bit small and some are recrops, so there’s a few more than usual.
